Mail Furnace is a first in class mail warming service when it comes to connecting and sending through your CRM in a done for you setup.
All other mail warming services connect to SMTP servers like your Google Workspace or Outlook Exchange. But when you send your marketing newsletters you use your purpose built CRM like Ontraport, Infusionsoft, Active Campaign, Maropost, etc.
So with the other services you get domain reputation increases, but not the sending IP reputation increase for your marketing newsletters.
We generally go by the 1% rule with engagement, but there are other factors to consider.
But let’s keep it simple and explain the rule:
For your daily sends, we recommend choosing the plan that is closest to 1% of your daily sends.
For example:
If you have a 100,000 email list and you send 25,000 emails per day, then the Silver Basic plan will work well, as you will have 1,000 seed email contacts provided that will do daily passive engagements, and then 250 of those contacts will also automatically provide active engagement.
If you then increase your daily emails to the full 100,000 sends, then upgrading to the Silver Plus tier will keep you at the 1,000 seed email contacts, but then every contact will be providing automatic active engagements along with the daily passive engagements.
What is an Engagement?
Email engagements are any form of action that a user takes with your emails. For example:
- Clicking Links
- Marking as Important
- Moving to Primary Inbox
- Replying
- Forwarding
With Mail Furnace, we offer 2 specific forms of engagement that we classify as Active and Passive engagements.
For every email we receive from your CRM we always passively engage with them. Passive engagements are:
- Open the email, and scrolling through the email reading it completely.
- Move from Spam or Promotions to the Primary Inbox
For the emails our system triggers to send from your CRM, we actively engage with those emails at a pre-determined rate based on your account level. Those active engagement activities include:
- Clicking Links
- Replying
- Forwarding
- Marking as Important
These actions all help train the filters in the major email providers
